Stella Zhang

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Stella completed both Physiotherapy and Exercise and Sport Science degrees at The University of Sydney. She has worked in private practice and elite sport, including professional Australian Rules. Stella relocated to the UK in 2019 and completed a Master in Veterinary Physiotherapy at The University of Liverpool. Her dissertation investigated the relationship between back pain and muscle asymmetry in Flat and National Hunt racehorses. She has a special interest in racehorses, and has re-trained a number of ex-racehorses for their new career.
Since relocating to the UK, Stella’s experience is ingrained in elite sport, including Olympic sports at UKSI, most notably GB and England Hockey, and Premier League Football with Brentford FC and Wolverhampton Wanderers. She currently works in motorsport supporting drivers in F1 Academy.
With her experience working with elite athletes in high performance environments, she is keen to transfer this knowledge to the equestrian community. Stella’s experience is centred around injury prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery with ultimate goal of maximising performance. Stella is trained in Clinical Mat and Reformer Pilates and uses these principles in her management of her athletes.
Stella is a keen eventer, and spends her spare time with her mare, Babe, and Jack Russell, Maxie.
